This fantastic group of current and former volunteer coaches will serve a one-year term providing their unique perspectives and feedback to support the strategic goals of the organization.

Joy shares, "I am all about empowering girls from all walks of life. To see any girl achieve their dream, boost their self-esteem, and speak positivity through the world is what makes me want to serve on the board and help other coaches achieve the dream and the vision for Girls on the Run."

CAB members will specifically focus on the diversity, inclusion, and belonging of volunteers and elevating the mission of Girls on the Run throughout the region.

Sarah shares, "As a volunteer, the emphasis on inclusion allows me to regularly self-reflect on ways I can be more inclusive in my day-to-day life. It’s eye-opening to see first hand the cause and effect of our actions or behaviors towards others. Calling attention to behaviors that promote inclusion, as well as behaviors that don’t, throughout the program is an incredible lesson for the participants and a reminder to us volunteers that practicing inclusion is an ongoing responsibility."
