Welcome Laci Sherman, Program Director!

welcome laci sherman

Please help us welcome our new Girls on the Run South Louisiana Program Director, Laci Sherman! Laci is a professional business consultant, with extensive experience in managing large scale projects, marketing, strategic planning, training development and facilitation, as well as working on several pilot programs within the public sector. Laci is also a market leader in Louisiana’s local community engagements, with a passion for implementing innovative solutions to Reimagine Baton Rouge.

Laci served as a Value Consultant and Business Advisor for BlueCross BlueShield and several healthcare sectors such as North Oaks Hospital, Texas Health Resources, UNT Health Science Center Autism and Geriatric programs, to support innovation, access, process improvement and community outreach. In 2017, Laci led the winning team for the American College of Healthcare Executives North Texas (ACHENTX) Case Competition – a team based consultant project to support Humana’s Population Health program to address the barrier of care with social and economic factors such as income, education, age, and occupation.

As she developed a passion for managing large projects, business development, and community engagement, she quickly realized an opportunity to expand business resources in the community to support nonprofits and local business owners.

Laci is also a Co-Founder of Making Her Deposits, a network to support professional women in business, corporate and leadership through seminars, virtual workshops, and community engagement. Laci seeks to bridge the gap by empowering and educating professional women on a rise. In 2021, Laci was featured and nationally recognized and serves on the Board of Fidelity Bank Power.

Laci, a Baton Rouge native, earned her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Southeastern Louisiana University before earning her Masters of Healthcare Administration degree at the University of North Texas Health Science Center.

In her spare time, she commits and volunteer with organizations such as Young Entrepreneur Academy (YEA)- LSU, Professional Women of St. Tammany Parish, Nation Small Business Association Leadership Council, and the North Baton Rouge Chamber (NBRCC).

Welcome, Laci! We're grateful you are a part of the GOTR team!
