Anne-Claire Alberstadt is a Girls on the Run Coach and City Year AmeriCorps Member serving at Crestworth Elementary.

Over a decade ago, Anne-Claire was participating in Girls on the Run in her hometown of St. Francisville, Louisiana. She shares, "I loved my experience. It was an opportunity for me to bond with other girls, learn how to take care of my body, and build my confidence. My GOTR experience built a strong foundation for a healthy relationship with movement. Girls on the Run is the reason that I still love running today. I still feel the impact of GOTR over 10 years later!"

Anne-Claire later participates in the Girls on the Run 5K as a running buddy for her sister, Sophie who was completing the 10-week program.

Anne-Claire served in both fall 2024 and spring 2025 10-week programs and says she has, "loved the full circle experience of being a coach for Girls on the Run. My experience was so special for me, and I want to make it just as special for the girls I coach."

This school year, 21 girls have participated in the Girls on the Run program at Crestworth Elementary. "I love being able to get to know the girls and be there for them. I believe that it’s so important for young girls to have positive role models that walk (or run!) with them through life. Coaching Girls on the Run is always a highlight of my day, and I am thankful for the opportunity to be able to pour encouragement into the girls."
